Welcome to Bernard Market!

Bernard Market is a playful platform inspired by hermit crabs, where the shells, instead of apartments, are available for rent. Created by Enzo Bertevas, Vincent Gannier, Lucas Maillet, and Alexandre Guilmet, this project was developed as a learning exercise for students, following the Airbnb model.

On Bernard Market, users can browse through available shells or search by city to find the perfect temporary home. Each shell has its own detailed page where you can see the price per night, additional information about the shell, who posted it, photos, and reviews from other users. You can book a shell by selecting a start and end date, and your pending requests will appear on a dedicated page, where you'll be notified once the owner accepts or declines your booking. After a successful stay, you'll be able to leave a review.

If you're an owner, you can list your shell by providing all the necessary details, including photos and pricing. You'll also be able to review the booking requests from potential guests and decide whether to accept or decline them.

The site was built using Ruby on Rails, Ruby, Bootstrap, GitHub, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and various Ruby gems, and is hosted on Heroku with a custom domain name.
